Poultry litter and different cover crops and their effects on the edaphic fauna community of an Oxisol

The use of soil cover plants and alternative sources nitrogen fertilization can promote improvements in the biological characteristics soil. objective this study was to determine contribution isolated and/or intercropped cultivation ground crops autumn/winter poultry litter as a source N wheat crop succession on mesofauna macrofauna community. experimental design randomized blocks, with split plots, factorial arrangement (4 x 4), three replications. collections edaphic fauna were realized pitfall traps PROVID plots 15 m². orders, abundance, Shannon diversity, Simpson dominance, Pielou evenness family organisms order Collembola evaluated. autumn/winter, induced greater abundance organisms, which mostly represented by Collembola, belonging Entomobryidae family. or crops, associated via litter, enabled diversity uniform distribution different groups
